Who I am today

I am a professional adventurer who reaches the world’s highest mountains by human power: cycling, rowing, sailing, and kayaking across continents before climbing them. My journeys are long, slow, and intentional, driven by curiosity, respect for place, and a belief in fair means of adventure.

How this all began

My path into adventure was not linear. At seventeen, I lived on the streets. Years later, by taking chances and committing fully, I was able to study, work as a physiotherapist, and eventually pursue long form expeditions around the world. That contrast still shapes how I move, plan, and lead today.

During my studies I had no money but lot’s of time, this created the opportunity to explore Europe and its mountains by bicycle from Belgium.

Why I travel human powered

The way I travel is inseparable from what I believe. Human powered movement forces me to slow down, engage deeply, and take responsibility for the journey itself. This philosophy guides every expedition I undertake.

What I do today

Today, I combine long distance expeditions with keynote speaking and guided journeys. I speak to companies, schools, and organisations about resilience, leadership under uncertainty, and longterm thinking. I also guide expeditions for people who want to experience remote environments with intention and respect.
