After climbing Everest I took the bike to southeast Asia where I started rowing to Papua. This took me a huge amount of physical and mental energy. The preparation was immense and so was the effort. The cycling part was easy but the rowing was pretty tough. A total of 6 months of rowing (+4000km) brought me to Papua. Becoming the first person ever to row from Java to Papua. There I crossed the island by bike and foot to the last town. Because of an uprise in rebel activity I was stopped the last 70km and had to fly in to basecamp (still planning to go back one day).
